Steven Rekers Mr. Rekers is currently a Vice President and Financial Manager for Acquired Loan Accounting & Loss Share Reporting at SCBT Financial Corporation, a multistate financial institution in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. SCBT is the largest publicly traded financial institution headquartered in South Carolina with total assets of approximately $4 billion, market cap of approximately $350 million and revenue of approximately $300 million. Mr. Rekers has been with the SCBT since March 2006. He started his career in public accounting at a prominent South Carolina firm, Bauknight Pietras & Stormer, P.A., as an external auditor. The firm was started by a group of former E&Y managers when the international firm closed its Columbia, South Carolina office. Before his current position as Financial Manager, he served as the Financial Reporting Manager responsible for SEC and bank regulatory filings. He graduated from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina in 1998 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He graduated in 1999 with his Master of Business Administration from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He has been a CPA licensed in the state of South Carolina since 2004. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
